2008 Winter Rainbow Regional Gathering
Syracuse Island
Ocala National Forest, Florida
Feb. 14th to Feb. 28th
Directions:
From Florida Interstate Hwy I-75
Florida Interstate I-75 to Hwy 40(Ocala exit), head East into the National Forest .
At Hwy 19 make a left and go North. Continue past Salt Springs toward Syracuse
Right on FS 43 /"either or FS 29" to FS 27 then go right and just keep to the right.
Syracuse Island is site where the regional was 5 years ago.
From Florida Interstate Hwy I-95
Florida Interstate I-95 take Hwy 40 West towards the Ocala National Forest.
Make a Right turn and go North on 19 towards Salt Springs.
Begin looking for FS 43 either or FS 29 and go right.
Take it to FS 27, then just keep right to Syracuse Island.
Come prepared to camp and be self sufficient. The weather can be hot during the day and get cold at night. Bring tents, shelter, sleeping bag or blanket roll, tp, clothes for warm and cold weather, flashlights, food to share, green energy for the magic hat, tools, things to share - bring all good things and your heartsongs.
