While I was really happy to see Simon and Carol together like that, I tend to agree with the whole “ Why was Simon in his Wonder Man uniform?” thing. Then again, maybe he was off somewhere doing something in costume and hadn’t removed it yet. I also agree that seeing the characters out of uniform and lounging around their apartments or whatever is a nice change and adds realism to the characters.
Still, I really don’t see this thing with Carol going well in the long run. Their relationship started with re-bound sex, which is a very passionate and intense thing, but hardly a real basis for a long relationship. Carol being the one in charge of Simon as leader of the Avengers will most definitely further complicate things between them. Simon seems to be acting more professional about it and even told Carol after the Ultron incident that she shouldn’t hesitate to send him into danger just because they’re involved.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing how this plays out. Maybe they’ll be one of the rare ones to make it work.
