Hmmmmm.....interesting. Could it be that Simon was replaced AGES ago but kept dying and new Skurlls were popping into take his place? Nah, a little too far-fetched.
There are SO many things he could be referring to - Zemo, The Reaper, Atlas (Erik Josten), Nefaria, any ionic related characters. I do agree with the concept of the Scarlet Witch and the Vision having something to do with this. Maybe Bendis is going to give us a proper Vision, with Simon's brain patterns again. Remember kids - retro is the cool thing these days.
Honestly - I do not see him getting killed off. To be honest, Simon has died so many times, this death would be irrelevant and I believe that Bendis knows that. He's a fun character with a TON of history with the Avengers - I think BMB will dig a little deeper into that.
