Guardians of the Galaxy #18

Okay, we've been more treated with the past 17 but this one wasn't that bad per se. Felt there was a little too much panelspace devoted to the new, (probably)never-to-be-seen-again alternate version of the Guardians and their pseudo Killraven-of-the-70s type setup. And not enough fun time with the temporally challenged 'old', new Guardians.
Though seeing Simon among them was a treat and Starhawk was handled very well.
A healthy dose of humor made up for the underwhelming danger by the 'Martians'. Old man: Peter: . Messiah Man: Jack . Super *tik* Hero Squad wannabe: Bug: . Move over Scrappy, its Puppy Power: Cosmo . And of course the Cutey Petooty: Mantis.
It would have been sweet if Hollywood googoo-ed or something to Mantis. Its too bad this is the closest the 2 ex-Avengers came to sharing a panel: http://www.comicboards.com/app/image.php?msg=avengers-2009093002481261&att=gog18mantis.JPG&fullsize=yes
Anyone else liking Simon among stars instead of convicts?
