I hope you are right. One thing I like is that it seems Wonder Man is going against a pretty powerful group of Avengers, I mean Thor is center stage on that cover so if Bendis can finally show some respectful scenes in the power department for the ionic Avenger I'll be satisfied.

: Sounds to me like Wondy is their adversary
: not a member. (Reminds me of Bishop in the
: Cable series.)

: Per the solicit for the Avengers series, it
: looks like Wondy will be the current Wondy,
: not a time displaced one. On closer
: inspection it looks like he has long hair in
: the front as well. It is possible he will
: have a beard. So it is not a mullet like we

: THE HEROIC AGE IS HERE!
: The Avengers have assembled and the
: villainous Kang has revealed that they must
: travel to the future to save their own
: children from destroying the universe! Yes,
: the entire universe. But it will take one
: more Avenger to make the trip complete. Who
: is the newest hero to join the ranks of the
: Avengers true? And why is the once-great
: hero Wonder Man hell-bent on stopping the
: Avengers at every turn? Backup feature:
: Another brand new oral history of the
: Avengers chapter by Bendis!
: 32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$3.99
: Normally I would be worried since Bendis is
: writing this series. However maybe it's not
: what it seems. If it is it may possibly be
: the shot in the arm that the character
: needs. A little more unpredictability and a
: edge to him might be a good thing if handled
