--Previous Message-- : I don't know, Mitchel, the way he was acting : and sucker punching the Avengers like that : seems pretty "evil" to me. I : thought the teams would battle after getting : in each others way trying to stop the same : villain. Taking the fight to the Avengers by : bashing in their front door seems wrong. : Simon is DEFINITELY not himself. : : One the plus side, he seemed to have done : his homework. He knew who would be in the : mansion, even Victoria Hand and Wong. He : showed a strong leadership side. He was very : calculated and no one questioned him. Don't : think I've EVER seen Wonder Man that : authoritative before. And, as you stated, he : waited until the baby was out of harms way : to attack. : : Although it doesn't seem like much, that : last point could be very important because : Bendis could have had the team attack and : had it understood that the baby was gone(or : worse yet, just attack while the baby was : there)but he went out of his way to add that : detail of Simon waiting for the child to : leave before attacking. Maybe he was trying : to make the point that Wondy isn't evil, : just fed up. : : One last thing, he asked if Ms Marvel was : there-was he hoping she wasn't to protect : her or hoping she was to prove something to : her? Hmmm... : : I really hope the annuals become a hit which : will lead to the "Revengers"(HATE : that name)sticking around as an actual team : for a while. I would love to see what a team : hand picked and lead by Simon could do. But : then again, I just hope Wonder Man survives : when all is said and done! :
Simon's team looks crappy and full of Z list characters. I don't see what threat they could be to the Avengers. I'm not a big fan of Bendis but I do have to admit that at least he is using the character and making him somewhat interesting. He also said that Simon is not a villain and that he has big plans for him. Hopefully this means he won't kill him off!
