Now that Bendis is leaving the Avengers, it seems that he is returning to the spotlight some of the characters that he screwed up since disassembled, like the Vision and Scarlet Witch, both will be in the current roster of Avengers, ready to be adopted for the new writer, (from my point of view, these two characters will return better than before, people already miss them, so it is a good strategy) unfortunately it seems that he is doing exactly the opposite to Simon, he used a little bit (as a background character without any improvement) and now he is leaving him in limbo, with a very complicated plot to fix for any writer, also transforming Simon in a jerk and erasing the love that some people may have for the character......
In my case, I am the biggest fan (and perhaps the only one living in Mexico) of Wonderman since his days in West Coast Avengers and I will always be no matter what. It is a little frustrating to see Marvel not using a good character that well written, could become a money maker for the industry.
Regards to all.

: To me it was clear he escaped but only Bendis
: knows for certain and by now I have to admit
: he doesn't seem to care much for the
: character or maybe is just the way he takes
: forever to get to his subplots.

: Next the Avengers vs X-Men crossover starts
: and I haven't seen any indication that
: Wonder Man will be part of that. With
: Bendis track record with Wonder Man I fear
: this will stay a dangling plot until the new
: writer comes, IF he has any interest in
: following it.
:
: I agree, Bendis had said from the beginning
: that he couldn't understand how Wanda just
: "coughed" Simon out and no one
: questioned it. He's been wanting to undo
: that resurrection from day one and he
: finally did. I still can't figure out if
: Wondy escaped or just vanished from
: existence. Can't wait for the new writer.
: Like you said, hopefully they'll do
: SOMETHING with Wonder Man.
