I agree, always thought that. It would be that something extra to make him more than just a "flying brick". In the first Avengers Annual, Bendis had him shooting energy as well.(A group shot of all the Revengers firing at the Avengers). I ALMOST hate to see Bendis leave now that he finally "gets" Wonder Man...only took like 8 years.
I wonder if this was what Bendis had in mind for Simon from the beginning of this storyline or was he forced to redeem Wondy because Remender wanted to use him in "Uncanny Avengers"? I know what your thinking..."Who cares, as long as the character is becoming relevant again!" Have to admit, having Simon on the team for PR because of his Hollywood connections DOES make sense. CAN'T WAIT!!!
