Hi. Below is a list of those elected following the club's AGM on Thursday 24th April, 2008.
1. 1st Team Captain - Sarah Beale
2. 1st Team Vice Captain - Fran Archer
3. Manager and Club Secretary - Wendy Voo
4. Fixtures and refs - Dave Carter
5. 2nd Team Captain - Lucy Watson
6. 2nd Team Vice Captain - Erika Puttick
7. Treasurer - Karen Malin
8. Sponsorship - Fran Sykes
9. Kit - Gemma Harrison
10. Junior Liaison - Wendy Voo
11. Subs Monitor - Cat Morgan
12. Utilities Manager - Louise Coggrave
13. Social Secs - Nat Peel and Jen Galbraith
14. Tour Organisers - Cat Morgan and Kym Hammond
15. Leo's Rugby Committee Rep - Fran Sykes
To clarify a number of roles:
Manager/ Club secretary: Wendy Voo will:
- Liaise with RFUW re affiliation and other admin
- Liaise with the club re all fixtures (incl. Groundsman) and food
- E-mail and correspond with all new interested players
- Update club development plan
- Monitor and update player database
- Liaise with Dave re: refs and fixtures
- Arrange and chair regular committee meetings
- Entries to sevens and other competitions
Availability of players:
1st Team player communication (texting and phoning) will be handled primarily by Teach, but also Sarah Beale and in Sarah Beale's absence, Fran Archer. This will encompass communications re: availability for matches, times, meets, transport arrangements and, where necessary, dropping or changing player's positions, including any other general playing related issues. Players are also encouraged to text Teach if they can not make training.
2nd Team Player communication (as detailed for the 1st Team) will be handled jointly by Andy Stephenson, Lucy Watson and Ericka Puttick.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all new officers the best of luck in their new roles and hope that all members of Leo's ladies whole heartedly support these newly elected ladies.
I would also like thank those who have served, with great enthusiasm and success, in the season of 2007/8.
Training continues as per normal next Thursday at 7pm
End of Season Dinner - 30th May, 7.30pm Leo's club house. Details to follow from Leekie.
