Written by Richard Crane and directed by his wife Faynia Williams, this was presented by the University of Bradford Drama Group at the Fringe in 1977. It won a Fringe First award and excellent reviews. The venue was the Old Chaplancy Centre, which we converted into a theatre by building a floor across the gallery.
The music was by Phil Wharton who also played keyboards (and the original church organ to great effect).

I believe Richard Crane is now on the academic staff at the University of Sussex.
I always thought it a great shame that this show was never given a full scale professional production. Certainly it deserved a wider audience.
