2008 Mersey Descent Race
Sunday 12th October
Can you help?
Can you help us run the race, we need a few helpers in all departments.
Starter. To get the five race classes underway
Pre start marshal. To get each class ready for the start.
Sweepers to follow the race from start to finish.
Bank cover at Northenden Weir to advise paddlers of the portage.
Safety cover on the water below the weir.
Time keeper at the finish.
Timekeepers assistant.
The timetable for the day is something like:-
At Burnage Rugby Club
Booking in 9.30 to 10.30
Briefing 10.45
Starts 11 to 11.30
At Trafford MV Rugby Club
Racers arrive 12 to 2
Prize giving 2.30 to 3
Also is there anyone willing to take a reporter down the race in a plastic double kayak or a Canadian?
