Big thanks from me, to all those who battled it out for club points at the National Hasler Finals. Amazingly we were the top North West club ..... but .... only just. So, all those who came and scored one point, don't feel too disheartened . As I am told to believe ...... there's many a mickle makes a muckle (If my O level maths serves me correctly). As we had almost a full team all those little bits added together made a healthy total of 49 points and 21st place. Not bad for a general purpose canoe club based in the sleepy Cheshire countryside.
Heros of the 2008 capaign were John and Andrew in Div 7 K2 scored a whopping 34 points 4th position.
Myself & Simon (K2 4/5/6) 6pts, Margaret/Mary (K2 div9) 3pts 23rd, Chris 2pts (25th div 5), Ned 1pt (28th div5), Mark 1pt ( 21st div 8), Paul 1pt (30th div 8), Pat 1pt (19th div 9)
This was a very well attended event, so any top twenty positions were hard to come buy. WELL DONE EVERYBODY
