Well done Chris and your team on a good and well organised race, it was my first one due to various injuries over the past two years and I really enjoyed it.
It is a pity there were not more competitiors, it is a good race with clean water and plenty excitment along the way.
Just a thought, maybe to attract more paddlers next year get some local Stockport companies to sponsor prizes and get national exposure like the Avon or Exe or have a series of 3 races on the same strech over a period of 3 months and accumulate points for each race then have prizes accordingly.
