The timed 4 mile portage was a most interesting and amusing experience on a freezing, foggy morning. Wish I could have captured peoples reactions on camera ....... they ranged from ....
Annoyance = Why is that man running towards me in a big hat, when he could walk away in a small one.
Disbelief = (the drowning fish look)
Pity = (the knitted eye-brows look)
Hero worship = (why won't the wife let me do daft things like that.)
Happiness = (sooner you than me mate)
Horror = (heavy breather approaches from behind)
Disdain =(why should I delay my walk for 2 seconds to help a jogger with a boat)
Totally blanked = (might as well have been the invisible man)
Anger = (why is that man taking our dogs for a walk in the opposite direction)
