Hi John,
The club is able to train you to the level required before undertaking any coaching awards. We have coaches that can assess 3* in Inland, Open Canoe and Sea Kayak. The 3* Sea is a new award that has only been available for the last few months. If you want to work towards the award, your best bet is to get down to brereton mere where the club meets on Thursdays. The nights usually start in April sometime and run all summer. Once you have been to a few nights then there are a number of us Sea Dogs that would be more than happy to take you on the relevant Sea trips for the award.
We can also train you to the new Canoe Safety Test also, these are run when we have enough people to take part.
