Just a quick note of thanks to all who willingly lent gear, gave advice, shared their previous experiences or just gave general encouragement. At one time Pete & I lead the General Classification and for 10 hours through the night lead on the water as well. (Ok, so that's when the fast teams would be starting!) Conditions were perfect - so a slight tail wind instead of a slight head wind would have been nice and slightly more flow would also have been appreciated - but 3 swims on the tideway due to my total exhaustion more than made up for it!
