Hi folks,
Carolyn and I completed the 26.2 miles in 6hrs 7 mins in Extreme scottish temperatures of about 25 degrees without a cloud to be seen.
I was actually wishing I was in a position to do an eskimo roll yesterday, but alas all that was on offer was a sprinkle from a few hoses.
It was more a battle against heat stroke than the distance, about 30% of the runners failed to finish (maybe due to shortage of water and lack of drinking it)
thanks to all who sponsored me, I got loads of crowd support when they saw the RNLI logo on my vest.
