Well done and hearty congratulations to all MADCC paddlers who completed the Ring. Especially the first timers in our 10-paddler K2 relay team. ...... William & Rosemary > first time juniors, Tony & Caroline > first time seniors (Caroline only had 4 weeks in a racing boat as preparation), John > first time for many years, Adrian, Sarah, Andrew & Vicky > now have quite a collection of mugs, medals & certificates. Would be great if a couple of you could do a short write-up for our quarterly newsletter. Perhaps one of the first timers ..... just send as an email to Andrew Millest.
Other first timers were Gareth & Peter K2 all the way and John & Ned who finished the same with very little training.
Unfortunately I was the only one to drop out after only 30 odd miles. So, big thanks to my support crew for scraping me off the bank, bagging up the bits and transporting me safely home and tucking me up in bed. (I think I was the only one of the entrants or organisers to get a full nights sleep ........ had a disturbing dream involving" The Ring 2010"
