Think we at MADCC would welcome less Hasler Races .... 6 sounds ideal, this would also mean the team trophy is more competitive and of interest to more clubs, hopefully adding to the numbers taking part, which is what it's all about really for the NW. We have cancelled our Sept. race for this reason and as we run numerous other events, the total can be a drain on resources and volunteers at times.
What about combining 5km with Lightning Special events ... there would be then more coaches available on site to may be help after their races are finished.(perhaps not Macc. as the canal is becoming a problem for the larger speed events)
PS . These are only my observations & ideas.
