Just a quick update on Tammy. We're here at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America hospital where she has been having further tests, consults, etc. with the specialists and oncologists as well as complementary medicine specialists (integreated care). http://www.cancercenter.com/integrative-treatment.cfm
This is such an incredible approach to the whole person, not just the "symptoms" or individual parts of the body affected.They also treat you like you are in a 5-star hotel (both patient and caregiver). Very patient oriented and with many, many patients being served... and the outpatients stay at nearby hotels at greatly reduced rates. They have us at a Radisson, and provide shuttles and limos (YES, white, stretch limos)when outside transportation is needed.
She has chosen to fight the swiftly spreading cancer cells that have spread to the lungs, bones, lymph nodes throughout, adrenal glands and other area, through chemo and biological drugs as well as many other supplements that will boost her immune system, mitigate many chemo side affects and assist in directly and indirectly killing the targeted cells. The infusion "port" is being inserted today (surgery at 11am) and we hope that the infusions of fortifying supplements (day before and after the chemo/biological) followed by 3 days of divided doses of the meds(MUCH easier on the patient and allows the body to absorb the meds more efficiently) will start SOON.
She's got ups and downs, but has her feisty attitude going about getting as many of those nasty cells knocked down as possible. 
Looks like it is getting a bit sloppy in McGrath, with breakup in full swing.
