I just have to say, as a cashier in a convenience store that last penny gets irritating, especially after reading this. I never thought of it this way until now. Then I realized how ridiculous people are. I serve people who pull in thousands and thousands a year and CAN spare that last penny. But as a cashier I get the sweet lovely people who stand their in silence with their hand in my face, or the silent ones who stare at me thinking I can read minds! Damn that penny!
