We got back yesterday and Tammy's glad to be back home, although the Cancer Treatment Centers of America stay was an excellent experience and we are all so thankful that she went there.
Three days of chemo and other "pre-med infusions" went very well and she didn't start to feel any discomfort until the plane trip home, which was about 24 hours after the last chemo and a shot that increases the white blood cells in the bone marrow. That is causing all of the bones to ache for awhile. So, she's still feeling a bit bum, but NOTHING like other people feel when getting chemo without all of the other specific "helper meds" given during each chemo session. She has had multiple chemo drugs, as hers is at an advanced stage and is in so many different locations. They're hitting it with all they've got and she's putting up her dukes to give those cancer cells one hell of a fight! (Those of you who know her... can well imagine the fight she's giving!)
I've tried and tried to get a picture of this hummingbird and baby and finally succeeded. Whew! And, it couldn't have been a more perfect time to click the shutter.
