The super sensitive noses of two well-trained detection dogs help wildlife biologists sniff out secretive seals under the snow in Prudhoe Bay. Dogs Stout and Indigo, a brother-and-sister team, led researchers to more than 130 ringed seal breathing holes and hidden lairs over the past two winters. These amazing seals, hardworking dogs, and arctic marine mammal biologists are featured in Alaska Fish and Wildlife News.
