Temperatures are forecasted to remain below normal through the end of April, particularly for the western half of the state, and a robust snowpack persists across northeast and western Alaska
April 1 statewide snow summary showed well-above normal snowpack for the Lower Yukon,
and Kuskokwim river basins. Recent aerial snowpack measurements show very high snow
amounts in the Holitna River near Sleetmute basins, as well as in the lower Kuskokwim River below Aniak. Normal to slightly below normal snowpack was observed in the Upper Yukon river valley.
The flood risk for holy cross is rated as low moderate and the forecast break up date is may 15th to 21st. anvik's flood risk is low moderate with a forecast break up date as may 14th to 20th. nikolais flood risk is low. mcgraths flood risk is low moderate, foreast break update is may 3rd to may 9th. sleetmutes flood risk is low moderate with a forecast break up date of april 29th to may 5th. red devils flood risk is low moderate, with the forecast break up date of may 2nd to may 8th and crooked creeks forecast break update is the same, but flood risk is moderate.
