I've been hearing from a lot of our chapters as they proceed into their 1st quarter Book Bashes and I can tell you am very excited about the number of submissions that are going to be turned in by Friday, April 16, 2010!
There have also been a number of questions that folks have been asking me. So let me answer some of them.
Where's the SPE Entry Form?
That's a good question. We had uploaded the SPE entry form in .pdf format to the MIJC Document Library a few weeks back. However, as I've intestigated it, I realized that the .pdf does not allow folks to type into it. So ... I've uploaded the document in Word format and you will find it at this location: http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0ASGQUDTkQrzLZGdoc3JocWhfNDNkdHZ2bmpkMg&hl=en
How many SPE's can we submit?
Chapters are allowed to submit one SPE per Awards Division.
How do we submit a SPE?
If you're submitting a programming area book, including the SPE in the book. You don't need to make an extra copy outside of your book. Include the CPG and all of the rest of the substantiation (30 page limit) in your book. Include the SPE entry form in the front of your book. The SPE entry form can be filled out with all of the SPE's you're submitting in that book.
Do all of our CPG's go in the book?
Yes. Working on the idea that our quarterly programming book submissions are corporate records and need to be able to tell a person well into the future what and why you did what you did in 2010 ... you need to have everything you did for that quarter in the book.
Again, if you have any questions, please contact me or any of the MIJC Management Development Team and we'll be glad to answer your questions.
Best Wishes and I'm looking forward to seeing your submissions on Friday.
