It is with a sad heart that I share with you the news that Sara Ballard, a former Michigan Jaycee who had moved to Washington State from Lansing and a 2004 Luthy Winner, passed away.

The family is planning a celebration of Sara's life for sometime in June, details will be made available as they can be.
Sara always reminded me, when she was in Michigan, that we may not be able to everything, but we can do something. She lived her life always doing something to help others less fortunate.
May she rest in peace.
