For those that did not have the honor of knowing Sara, she was a very driven young woman who believed in positive change. I had the honor with serving with Sara as her Admin VP when she was the Region D director in 2006. Sara strived to make Region D, and the Michigan Jaycees, a more productive organization in all of the communities that we impact. I had many late night discussions with Sara where she shared her ideas and excitement for the organization as well as the challenges she was facing as a leader in our organization. For a few years after she moved to Washington, Sara would keep me in the loop of the great things she continued to do with her local Jaycee chapter and with the state organization out there. We have lost a good friend to those who believe in the power of one and that we can make a difference in this world.
