Here is my questions. I understand other kids were turned away at the various regional sights,in the future how will it be determined which wrestlers are eligible with only 1 weigh in and which are not. I too would have liked for my son to get the opportunity to wrestle in the MYWAY state tourney. however I would only have been able to get in one weigh in prior to the regionals and understood that 1 weigh in was not enough,so what is it 1 or 2 weigh ins? I realize that my son is not of the same caliber as the kids that were mentioned but could someone explain for future references what criteria will be used to make such determinations? I'm sure the couple of kids mentioned in the earlier posts are not the only kids who could have an impact on determining a state championship that were not eligible to compete due to the 2 weigh in rule. Could someone please give clarification as to whether or not you actually need two weigh ins or is it only one? I am not sure at the moment. As much as I agree with Mr. Deans sentiments about the kids I really think he needs to be clear on the position of the league and the 2 weigh in rule as it applies to this specific situation. I feel as if I made my son abide by what I understood the rule to be and now I'm not sure what the rule is. As you notice I am not mentioning any names as I have no desire to hurt any kids but I would like the adults who administrate the organizations to be very clear about there eligibility requirements and any other rules that are to be or not to be enforced.
