I just wanted to say thank-you for the kind words. I must know you based on the post by mmwa coach and you must have been there on sat. at Ithaca.First off I just want to say how well run the Ithaca Region was and how high the caliber of wrestling was there (all age groups). I agree a high number of MMWA state champs and placers will come out of that region.The 67lb. 9-10 bracket was very tough and that day we were not good enough to move on to state. It was a bit unlucky for Zach and Alec(teammates and freinds)to have to wrestle first match and probably did not set a good tone for the rest of the day.My son was emotionally affected by having to wrestle his teammate so early(1st. match) of the tourney. But no excuses Alec needed to wrestle better against that very excellent competition. As far as Jeff Fisher( a great wrestler)he too got a very bad draw having to wrestle Dormer and Johnson(champ and runnerup)his 1st. 2 matches. But sometimes the pairings don't work out. As far as Alec moving up to 67lb. I just thought it would have given him the best opportunity to get to state. Iassumed the 3 stud 11 year olds Johnson,Dormer and Kesserling would all be at 63lb.s but evidently Tyler scared them all off after MYWAY states and we miscalculated. But again 63lb.s was very tough also and we would have had to wrestle great to place on that chart anyway. As far as the rest of the season there is alot of wrstling left USA,Ohio tofc,AAU folkstyles in tulsa or the Gene Mills in N.Y. and many more. Jeff Fisher and Alec will be back at 9-10 next year with a renewed desire to erase what happened at Ithaca and make some noise at MMWA states next season Zach will be a contender at 11-12 as well. Finally I just wanted to say what a pleasure and honor it is to be associated with thegood people and great wrestlers of the Powerhouse club and am very happy to be part of their group.
