Hey Jorge, BJ and fellow members
I just had to chime in. For those not familliar with MHz history, I'm the original guitar player that formed MHz with Jorge (btw-nice shiner). I still check in from time to time. Man there's been a lot of changes. Good to still see that Jorge and BJ is still carring the torch. I do miss playing but fortunately I hooked up with Mike Matijevic from STEELHEART. Yeah remember those guys. Well I recently found Mike(Mili) right here in Charlottesville! That is a long story. Anyway, we got reaquainted and caught up from those old days when I was creating their art in backdrops, jackets and drum heads, not to mention being in a rival band. Actually Mike and I go way back when he was 16y.o.! Yep, my best friend, drummer and I found him in Stamford, CT. and was trying to get him to sing for our band. Unfortunately for us he ended up hooking up with RED ALERT which became STEELHEART, the rest is history. So he's here now in VA working on his new revamped STEELHEART project. He doesn't officially have a band yet and is working with a drummer and POWERMAN 5000 bassist Siggy with producer Kit Woolven. The tracks are KILLER! Kinda like DISTURBED meets STEELHEART, very aggressive, modern but catchy. He has asked me to do some solo work which I'm eager to do and get my playing chops back. He was impressed with my work on my indie label band PYN SIREN so I'll take a crack at his stuff. For the record, I'm not joining his band even if asks me. I have my own buisness to run and can't devote to touring. Otherwise I would do it in a heartbeat. My guitar rigg is in his studio for his disposal (Jorge and Jim might recognize it in the photos of the studio on his site) which Mike used on all the rhythm guitars which he did by himself. We get together on weekends for the progress, dinner and of course booze it up a little. I'll try to get photos so I can post in the future. In the meantime, his site is; steelheart.com. He is about to release a live DVD that was recorded in Osaka, Japan in '94? I think. For STEELHEART fans, you'll love it. The audio is awesome. For those who want to see what I do, check out; fightingcolors.com
