from the wisconsinmx.com message board:
"Midwest Vintage MX series on 7/12. Our track will be tamed down to accomodate the vintage bikes. The day will start later and end earlier than a normal district race. If this is more your style of track, please consider joining us on the 12th. A $10 MWVMX card is required to participate. On the same weekend, you can also give hillclimbing in the stock wheel base class a try, and/or Harescramble racing. Wisconsinmx.com discount: Print this post and bring it to registration for $5 off Hillclimb stock class entry fee. See cmjraceway.com for more details."
the track is sorta loose, yet can be hard in places...loamy, sandy, and clay. slippery, greasy when saturated (a real nasty sticky clay mess actually...). I'm running a Kenda Carlsbad on the rear. There may be some grassy straights too.
It's in a real nice wooded area, but bring a pit bike or a 4-wheeler to get down to the track for spectating. The pits/parking area are up on the top of the bluff, and the track is sort of in the surrounding valleys; that is the reason for a pit bike.
And bring some skeeter spray...
