You got what you asked for didnt you! You asked for the spirit to show he was real and he did. Your home sounds to me like it needs to be cleansed. If I were you I would stay away from boards for if they are not used with respect then trouble can come. You now should send out loving thoughts in white light praying for the soul to be removed to his proper and rightful place in the spirit world. If this does not work then find a reputable rescue medium to do this for you. You have to remember that spirit are people, just like you and me, albeit in a different energy form. When they pass over they will still retain their likes, dislikes etc. If this spirit person in question was of a bad mind then that will not have changed. If you are aware of him in the future, do not be scared, as they can feed of your fear. Try to ignore him as best you can and seek professional mediumistic help.
