: Nothing to worry about that, its only
: dream...dreaming like you are awaking but
: actually you are dreaming. I had those
: dreams, in my country some people call it
: "tindihan". Always try to keep
: your mind in peace before go to sleep.

: I have had premonitions while awake and in
: my
: dreams all my life but that has been the
: extent of it. Nothing really scary. However,
: very early this morning I had a very
: disturbing experience. I awoke from a
: nightmare unable to move or scream. It felt
: as if something was holding me down. At the
: same time I felt what I can only describe as
: a huge vacuum sucking my body almost taking
: my breath away. It sounded really windy in
: the room and I could hear a deep rumbling
: noise that sounded to me like a record
: playing low and slowly. I could see
: something blurry hovering by my window. All
: I could move were my eyes. I was afraid the
: sucking I felt in the room was also going to
: take my 2 month olds breath away. I glanced
: in her direction but she was fine...asleep
: like nothing was going on. I kept trying to
: yell but nothing. I know that I was awake. I
: felt a release and was able to sit up. I had
: a strange tingling sensation throughout my
: body as if my leg fell asleep, only all
: over. Again I checked on my baby and ran to
: the other room to check on my oldest child.
: Everything was normal. I have never had such
: a thing happen to me. Could there be a more
: logical explanation other then a paranormal
: experience? Im really shaken by all of this.
: Can anyone out there clue me in?

It seems that we have similar questions, but I came here looking more for an answer. I just had basically the same experience. I was dozing after I turned off my alarm and it felt like a powerful wind was racing through my bedroom. I was lying on my back looking up but everything was a bit blurry, as if it were shaking or I was looking through a giant kaleidoscope. I tried moving my arms and even though one felt like it was moving, I couldn't see it move. I kind of felt like I was fighting this sensation and then it went away. My arms were tingling like they would feel if the circulation had been reduced. Since this sensation did not necessarily feel evil, just strange and uncertain, and that I had felt something like it years ago when I was actively trying to induce an outer body experience, I closed my eyes and tried to see if it would happen again (I actually asked for whatever it was to come back). It happened again almost instantly. However, I was too afraid to embrace it and fought it again. I remember reading that outer body experiences and lucid dreaming are typically easier to elicit in very light stages of sleep, rather than at night when you first fall asleep. I'm guessing that this is what may have happened. However, if anyone actually embraces this force rather than resisting it, I would be very interested to find out what happens. Like I said earlier, it didn't necessarily feel evil, but nonetheless I eventually became a bit frightened because of the fact I know I wasn't asleep, I wasn't sure who or what was in control and it was a very powerful sensation. The only medications I'm on are very low dose pills for high blood pressure and cholesterol. However, I'm in my late thirties and in excellent shape (just unfortunate family genes), and experienced this in my early twenties long before I ever took any medications. If anyone with similar experiences would like to discuss this more feel free to reply here or exchange emails. Good luck!
