It's not the memory cards I dread (let's face it, a replay medium with no moving parts is an excellent idea), but the thought that all music will be imprisoned by that awful MP3 compression system, the "VHS" to ATRAC's "Betamax"!

OK, Kevin - you're a silly, nostalgic moron! Actually, it probably goes for me, too, because I agree with most of what you say. My one point of divergence is that I'd rather do without the surface noise. My ideal evening is spent listening to CD re-masterings whilst fondling the original LPs and and drooling over their exquisite wrappings. However, I strongly recommend a modicum of salt be comsumed whilst reading that last sentence!
