I think it highly unlikely that in the Bernstein recording "this score is the orchestral suite taken from the complete ballet", as Michael Cookson guesses. La Création du Monde is described by Wikipedia as a 20-minute ballet in 6 continuous sections ; Bernstein takes 16'47, Tilson-Thomas on his highly recommendable New World Jazz CD takes 17'45 - there would seem to be little point in making a suite of a continuous piece of music that was only 3 minutes shorter than the entire ballet.
