I can't remember ever seeing a recording of Ferrier singing the Four Last Songs. Maybe young Bennett is confusing it with her singing in Bruno Walter's conducting her in Mahler's Das Liede von der Erde. A postcript on KF however is that whenever I play any of her recordings on my programme on Sydney radio (2MBS 102.5 in case you want to listen every alternative Friday 6-9 am!!!!)I always get someone phoning up to tell me how much they enjoyed the selection. KF is just as loved here in Sydney as she is in the rest of this musical world.
