But this doesn't stop at the performer/s and his/her/their performances; what about music that's never been recorded before, especially if it is not newly composed? The possibilities are almost endless, surely? Who is going to try to prove - let alone guarantee total success in proving - that the music advertised as being recorded on a CD is genuinely by the composer being credited with its composition on the cover and in the accompanying booklet?
