No criticisms of John France's excellent review of the Lyrita recording of Arnold Cooke's 1st Symphony etc, but he is under a misapprehension when he states that Cooke was Hindemith's only English pupil. Stanley Bate and Walter Leigh spring immediately to mind. Does anyone know of any others?
