I can help at least with the comparative timings of nos. 25 and 26 on the EMI recording by Czyz: 5'13 and 6'10, which makes this recording closer to Giulini in the former, to Delman in the latter track. No. 25, "Es fällt ein Tropfen" is absolutely magical at Czyz's tempo - and doesn't that introductory horn melody sound mysteriously like something quasi-dodecaphonic out of early Schoenberg! - quickening with the entry of Nicolai Gedda & I can't imagine it different; no.26, the finale, is taken with passionate brio and features the ecstatic & superbly expressive Edda Moser. The whole thing is around 95 minutes. The sound being very decent 70s stereo, Fassbaender as the Angel, with a fine Düsseldorfer Symphoniker that can boast an excellent first horn, the 2 disc set including a collection of Romanzen & Balladen for mixed choir, this seems to me to be self-recommending if you can find it - I have never felt the need for another recording, and I can remember a Fanfare critic saying the same thing reviewing 2 of the later versions. I note that there are recordings on Arte Nova, Berlin Classics & Kuhn as well as those already mentioned and that Amazon.fr has a marketplace partner offering the interpretation I have so enthusiastically recommended (on EMI Double Forte)at 166 Euros. Sorry about that.
