THE LONG DAY CLOSES was written by Henry Fothergill Chorley and composed by Sir Arthur Sullivan, who is mainly known, nowadays, as the composer-half of Gilbert and Sullivan. I am the Music Librarian of the Sir Arthur Sullivan Society, so your query has come through th the right person! - If you contact me privately I can let you have a copy of the music of THE LONG DAY CLOSES. Regards RG-P
