Schnabel's Beethoven

I stumbled across a ridiculously cheap set of Schnabel's Beethoven sonata cycle from Membran. I'm very tempted to snap it up, but was wondering if anyone has heard these Membran transfers? Would I be better off sticking with the Naxos Historical reissues? Any advice?
