For the sake of those music-lovers who have read your remarks on the lack of translations & sighed, Jonathan, it is worth pointing out that all who can read your review of the Martin Rilke settings can also access translations of the poems here: http://www.recmusic.org/lieder/m/martin.html
They are no better & no worse than such translations usually are, and this resource is even useful for those who have the texts (original or translated) of lieder, mélodies etc in their collections, since it can often be wearing trying to track down the poems in question, especially in the exact sequence of song-cycles.
