In 1853 at the Altenburg Liszt performed his own B minor piano sonata (soon after he had composed it) with Brahms in attendance. Evidently Brahms was dozing during the performance that seemed to display Brahms's enduring indifference to the music of Liszt. This information is contained in the book:
Franz Liszt (Volume 2), ‘The Weimar Years 1848-1861’ by Alan Walker
Publisher: Cornell University Press (1987) ISBN 0-8014-9721-3. Pg. 229.
