Among the number of things which make The Hague stand out from other cities in The Netherlands is the Royal Conservatoire, an establishment which educates dancers, composers, and musicians to the highest level. For three decades, this institute has maintained a tradition in which every four years an internationally renowned composer becomes the centre of a large scale study project. After Stockhausen, Messiaen, Cage, Kagel, Ligeti, Kurtág and Reich; Heiner Goebbels is now coming to The Hague. From 28th February to 15th March there will be a festival organised by the Royal Conservatoire entirely devoted to this German composer and theatre maker.
