Well, let it be a lesson to all us reviewers not to generalise. For a healthy helping of interesting Swiss music there is of course the 'Musiques Swisses' label, whose website is in French and German only - which may or may not mean something. Reluctant to join in any kind of bashing session, the only sentence which made me raise the hair of an eyebrow was 'the rise of the Nazism which was soon to overtake Switzerland', which makes it seem a little as if Switzerland had been invaded, which ain't the case of course. Huber and Holliger fall into the category of 'bloomin awful' for many people, and we flute players have a love/hate thing going with Honneger's dancing goat, but let's hope everyone else's goat stays even tempered.
