I have now had time to check back at my email from Lyrita concerning Bax's Third Symphony (LSO Downes). The email said that Lyrita were "already investigating the possibility" of releasing that recording on Lyrita but had no idea as to whether it would be possible. I am writing this because Len's assertion that "there is no truth" in the suggestion implies that I had invented the story. This is untrue. I did not invent the story but may have unwittingly given the impression that a release was definitely forthcoming although I did quite clearly use the phrase "tentative steps" in my original message.
