At the end of his review of this filmed account of Vengerov's sabatical, Jonathan Woolf speculates as to the new fields that Vengerov might now wish to conquer in terms of repertoire and conductors. Sadly Vengerov has hardly played since and this recent article in the Times http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article3666430.ece revealed that he has no current plans to play the violin again in public."
