There is a wonderful interpretation of the chamber version of Appalachian Spring by Andrew Schenck with the Atlanta Sinfonietta, formerly on Koch (coupled with Barber's Medea's Dance), now probably only secondhand unfortunately. This has been my touchstone for the work ever since it appeared in the early 90s.
