A couple of misapprehensions in this review:
The Rieger organ at St Giles', Edinburgh, was inaugurated in 1992 when Michael Bonaventure was 30 so if he "learned his craft" on this instrument, he must have ben a very late starter (which he wasn't)!
Gillian Weir's Messiaen recordings were made by Collins Classics and were subsequently reissued by Priory. They have never been on Deutsche Grammophon!
