Gentlemen – I have been trying to ascertain whether the Warner boxset contains the same recordings as those which appeared on the Olympia/Alto discs. Have Warner licensed them, or did Svetlanov record the symphonies on different occasions? I missed out on the Olympias, delaying my acquisitions in the hope that Olympia would box them together. Then when Alto continued the releases, I was really annoyed with myself for not getting the Olympias at the time they were readily available. Now, I'm hoping providence has granted me an opportunity to finally get these self-same recordings once for all.
Would appreciate any assistance you can provide in this matter. Thanks
